Shutter Island director Martin Scorsese was honored with the Cecile B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the recently held Golden Globe Awards.In his acceptance speech in front of a jam-packed audience at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills who gave him a standing ovation, Scorsese humbly acknowledged that Goodfellas (one of the most critically-acclaimed Martin Scorsese films) doesn't have much in common with DeMille's The Greatest Show on Earth.
