Conan Rally - I Want to Join!

I wish I could join the Conan rally being organized by fans of "The Late Show Host" Conan O'Brien in front of the NBC studio. This is Conan's last week as host of the late night show. He will surely be missed. It's so unfair. Why do we have to get stuck with Jay Leno who is probably the most unfunny talk show host alive. NBC deserves all the hits they are getting from celebrities. Here are some NBC jokes heard from the recently held Golden Globe Awards. Julia Roberts: "NBC, you guys are in the toilet, right?"

Tom Hanks: "NBC said it was going to rain at 10 p.m. but they moved it to 11:30."

Tina Fey, on the rain: "It's God crying for NBC."

Julianna Margulies, in her acceptance speech: "I just want to say thank you to Les Moonves and Nina Tassler for believing in the 10 o'clock drama."

Host Ricky Gervais: "Let's get on with it before NBC replaces me with Jay Leno."

Shutter Island Director Honored

Shutter Island director Martin Scorsese was honored with the Cecile B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award at the recently held Golden Globe Awards.In his acceptance speech in front of a jam-packed audience at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills who gave him a standing ovation, Scorsese humbly acknowledged that Goodfellas (one of the most critically-acclaimed Martin Scorsese films) doesn't have much in common with DeMille's The Greatest Show on Earth.

Jeff Bridges - Golden Globe Best Actor

Jeff Bridges won the the Best Actor trophy in the recently concluded Golden Globe awards for his performance as a washed-up folk singer in the drama Crazy Heart. Bridges bested four other nominees including George Clooney who was the favorite to win the award for his performance in Up in the Air. Though Bridges was nominated for four Oscar's in the past, this is the first major award received by the actor. Other winners in this year's Golden Globe include Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Robert Downey, Jr.
